2006 Gala Concert

VILLA MARINA ROYAL HALL - SATURDAY 22th JULY 2006 AT 7:30PM

The Manx Youth Band and Manx Concert Brass were delighted to host Peter Roberts on 22nd July at their Annual Gala concert.

A large and appreciative audience were present to hear Peter perform some of his most loved solos including On with the Motley arranged by Ray Far and Flowerdale from Philip Sparke’s Hymn of the Highlands.

Both bands gave a performance on their own, with Peter performing two solos with each. The bands then combined to play Hymn of the Highlands, featuring Peter as well as a solo from Philip Shimmin (Euphonium) and a trio from Stephen Garrett (Flugel Horn), Ian Mansell (Baritone) and Kathryn Power (Tenor Horn).

The Bands are grateful to Lagan Construction Ltd, who were the main sponsors of the concert.
